Naturopathica
My Personal Favorite
When I worked at a day spa in Atlanta, I came across a product line to fall in love with called Naturopathica. Not only is this product line great for your skin and body as a whole, but the product lasts quite a while. This isn't a product like you see at drug stores or even department stores. My all time favorite product from the Naturopathica facial line is called Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel. Does it smell like pumpkin? More like pumpkin pie!
Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel
Naturopathica Pumpkin Enzyme Peel~ Have you heard of this brand? If not. it's an all natural, organic brand focused on holistic skin care. I had this product used on me when I had a facial at a spa called Natural Body Spa and Shoppes in the Atlanta Metro area. The facial was not only relaxing, but you can also purchase the same products that were used on you! How great is that?
The pumpkin enzyme peel is specially formulated for dull, congested skin. If you have a problem with blackheads, this is your ideal product. I only use it, maybe once a week, twice at most. You really don't need to use it more than that. This is a refining mask that exfoliates your skin with pumpkin enzymes to reveal a more radiant and clear complexion. Once you wash it off, your skin is baby soft. The pumpkin enzyme peel by Naturopathica is great for normal to oily skin. I bought a jar about 6 months ago and I am just now getting to the bottom of the jar, granted it's only a 1.7 oz jar, but as I said earlier, you really don't slather it on and use a lot of the product because you really just need to spread it evenly on a clean, washed face. Leave it on for about 4 or 5 minutes and wash off. Be careful, as with any mask not to get it in your eyes. I paid $56 for this jar and it has lasted me this long, so it's well worth the price! I am a product junkie. I always came home after work with something new to try, and this by far is one of my favorites.
The key ingredient is the pumpkin, a natural exfoliant and powerful anti-oxidant. The enzyme helps to break down dead skin cells and some of the other ingredients include: cinnamon bark, oregano, and rosemary extract. These other herbal ingredients are considered to be antiseptic, which is a good thing and great news for your skin.
How To Use
Apply a thin layer to clean skin, leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse off. Use once or twice a week for great results.
* Make sure you use a high SPF sunscreen for a full week when using this product. You would hate to damage skin cells and lose pigmentation in your skin!
A great companion product to have is Naturopathica's Lavender Protective Moisturizer which has an SPF of 17; Neroli oil. Remember that oil combats oil. Oil and water don't mix as I'm sure you know. Think about it. Your natural sebum that makes your skin oily can be combated with Neroli oil.
PROS
All natural and organic
Very gentle on my sensitive skin
Doesn't clog my pores or make my face feel greasy
Only need a small amount of product to use for my entire face
Not drying and leaves my face feeling purified and clean
CONS
Contains essential oils that may further aggravate sensitive skin or those that suffer with Rosacea (Essential oils of cinnamon bark, rosemary, and oregano)
A little pricey for some ($56 for a 1.7 oz jar)

Any kind of mashed up fruit will give a mild peel effect, because of the Alpha Hydroxy fruit acids. Pumpkin is excellent for the skin
